Forget Weddings Its All About The Prom

I just loved shopping for my prom dress and my prom shoes. I visited all the shopping malls, looking at all the dresses and picking out some favorites and trying them on. Of course long before prom night came, I used to lie awake and dream about it. How I would look at what colors suited me and what would make me look like the prom queen. As prom night came closer and closer I started looking at prom dresses and prom shoes with my friends. Being on the short side I decided that I would wear heels, even if my feet died in them. So my prom shoes had to have at least 4 inch heels. As for my prom dress, I had made up my mind it would be either silver or in gold color, but not shiny and bright. Now, I just could not find the right prom dress - the shoes were not a hassle as I had found and bought the high heel prom shoes that I wanted. Prom advice from parents and friends comes a plenty as prom night approached; I just wonder if the boys also have all the problems that we girls face. After my prom I came to know that for them also, prom night is as taxing as it is for us. I decided on this prom dress that I knew would make me look stunning. No I won’t tell you the color or the design. But yes when my date and I entered the hall, plenty of heads turned and I felt so good. After all, it was my big night and I had been planning it for months. Well, my friends were surprised and some of them were jealous, but I felt beautiful, and I really enjoyed a memorable prom night.

If you are looking for the right prom dress then start early, don’t wait till the last minute. Also decide on the color and type of dress that suits you. Then go through shopping malls and try on prom dresses till you find a prom dress that you really love. You know its funny, but sometimes you just find that dress that you know will be the perfect prom dress for you. I say buy it, just don’t think any about it further, and get it. If you go away to think about it, when you come back it may have been sold.

Consider Pearls for Your Special Day

A bride’s day is one to be treasured, and as such her jewelry should be stunning, but not that stunning so as to detract from her gown and veil. Pearls are the answer – and a simple pearl necklace is the best way to accentuate a neckline, and draw the attention of guests down to the gown itself. Not too showy, as bridal jewelry should be (or, shouldn’t be!), but dazzling enough so it is apparent that the bride has taste and style befitting her on her special day.

A plain strand of pearls – or even two or three, if desired – are the best way to top off a bridal outfit; if the pearl highlights are carried up to the veil, and down to the gown, then the outfit ties together and can really make an impact. Dainty pearl earrings could be the finishing touch!

Pearls are simple, understated and timeless, and a pearl necklace worn on your wedding day can become an heirloom to be handed down to your daughters (or future daughter-in-laws) for them to wear on their wedding day. And later, perhaps a Christening gift to their daughters?

Getting to know Bono the activist

I am certain that most people love U2 for being a world class musical band who are capable of bringing the house down with their unique brand of music but how many people actually appreciates the fact that their leading front men together with the rest of the band are pretty nice citizens of Earth?
Bono, the Edge and other members of the star studded band saw it fit to take proactive steps in countering social problems like disease, poverty and social unfairness. Most notably, Bono have been known to take extra care in eradicating poverty in Africa and this began in the mid 1980’s where he and Ali, his other half saw how famine nearly destroyed the people of Ethiopia. The Edge was also not to be ignored and he was also known as a great humanitarian in his own right. He helped collect funds for victims of the devastating Hurricane Katrina.

So it is no wonder that people are buying up U2 concert tickets in droves. If you would like affordable concert tickets without the hassle of queuing up, your best alternative is in Seatwave, a close knit community formed out of the love of sharing concert tickets without letting them go to waste.
